You have a spit second to decide your fate. Swerve and avoid and risk hitting a cage at speed? Brake, but do you have time to stop? Last option - Lay it down? Knowing your own skills, the roads you travel and your motorcycles ability helps tremendously!
OK, we like the speed, acceleration and maneuverability of our bikes. But when tangling with cages, best to avoid them.
Almost hurts to say this, but slow down. Going slower gives you time. Time gives you options. Like being able to stop in time. Still have the need for speed, then know the road, know your bike, KNOW YOURSELF.
